So, you signed up for the Golf team. You successfully made the team. Now, you show up to practice and wonder if you'll do well and be the best player for your team. Here's a few simple tips to help give you every advantage available while playing for your team.
Play every course on your schedule before your match. Play them more than once.
Write down everything you know about each course and hold as you play them.
Make notes of hazards, ponds, bunkers, trees, and any trouble spots.
Make separate notes for each green and how each one differs in measurements, breaks, etc.
Lastly, go to the driving range and practice your short shots for 2 hours a week.
All of these things seem simple to talk about, but a lot of players won't do it. Thus, if you decide to do it, it gives you an automatic advantage over any one else.
